Tell me, does any of this sound familiar?
For too long, you've prioritized something else over the life you truly want to be living. Maybe you've been generously serving others while neglecting yourself. Maybe you've been listening to an internal critic that tells you what you "should" be doing, even when it has never felt authentic for you. Or maybe you've come to realize what really matters to you and want your future to be in better alignment with what you truly value.
Perhaps you've reached a point where the discomfort of staying the same exceeds the challenge of making a change. And besides, you've never been one to shy away from hard work, so you're ready to dig in and finally create the life that was meant for you.
You have big ideas and even bigger dreams. You've got a rebel heart that wants to create a better world for yourself and others, and you are never content with standing still. You're simply no longer willing to settle for less than your full potential.
Or maybe you want to do amazing and meaningful work that you love in a world that's telling you that you should sell your soul just to pay bills. But you don't buy into that. You are absolutely certain that your life is meant for so much more than that.
Perhaps you want to start a passion project to feed your creative appetite, get a side hustle going to increase your independence, completely change your career path, or altogether ditch your unfulfilling 9-to-5 to pursue that big, dreamy goal you've been holding onto for a long, long time.
Whether the changes you seek are personal or professional--you've come to the right place.
If I had to guess, I'd imagine that people often describe you as a high-performer. You're probably a go-getter, a self-starter, and a bit of a live wire (in all the best ways).
But there's also a chance that you…
- Feel stuck. Maybe you're not sure about the next steps, or maybe you haven't quite figured out where you want to be, other than "not here".
- Just need a little help. You're creative in a way that leaves other people in awe because you do stuff that almost no one has the courage to try--and this next step is a big one. Maybe you could use some extra support.
- Are simply scared sh*tless. You're about to unleash your wildest dreams, and that means letting go of who you used to be to become who you were meant to be. It's a big, beautiful mess of courage and fear, and you could use a partner along the way.
No matter where you're at, I totally get it.
You were put on this planet to do incredible things. I'm here to help you get where you want to go.
Hello! I'm Dr. Kristi Richert, and I help wild-hearted go-getters create the work + life of their dreams. My career is my passion. Partnering with people who know there is something more that they want and collaborating with them to cultivate more energy, purpose, intention, and inspiration is what lights me up and fuels my soul.
I work with people who refuse to be content with just settling--people who want to squeeze every last delicious drop out of their lives. These are people who want the same thing I want: to live the life of our wildest dreams and do meaningful work.
I am truly living my dream.
But there was a time when it was not this way.
After years of working in consultative and management roles, I started to notice a common theme. Most of the people I knew were less than thrilled with how they spent the vast majority of their waking hours. This was true across industries or levels of management/non-management. The pay scale, job title or career level made practically no difference.
I have to admit that I was in the same boat back then.
To everyone else, things in my life looked pretty darn good. I held a degree in Economics and was working on a Masters in Accounting. I was climbing the corporate ladder with a house in the best neighborhood and a luxury car in my garage. I vacationed around the world, and my closet was full of high-end designers.
It all might have looked good on paper, but it felt much less fulfilling in my own skin.
I'd worked in jobs that paid the bills, but did little to enchant my spirit. I figured there were probably some people in the world who felt fully engaged in their life's work and spent their days engrossed in purpose and meaning. But I didn't have a clue what that might be like.
I prioritized my career goals over just about everything, and I was "successful" by society's standards, but my soul was suffering in the process.
I felt stuck, and I genuinely believed that work was simply a means to an end--a way to afford the experiences that gave purpose and meaning to my life. And, in between doing those meaningful things that I loved, I would get through the mundane, threadbare days using any variety of methods to numb myself from the excruciatingly lonely feeling of being lost.
Then, one day, I woke up.
I decided that everything had to change, and I knew I was the only person who had the power to change it. I was not going to sit idly by and watch the best years of my life fade away. I was not going to become one of the masses, marching in line, and doing the same thing day in and day out. And, I was not going to spend another day wishing things were different.
There was an entire world of possibility out there, and the only person holding me back from experiencing it was ME.

I spent more than a year exploring this new world--both literally and figuratively--with all of its realities, epiphanies, joys and heartaches.
I let go of some parts of my life--both personally and professionally--that were no longer serving me, and I reached out for things that I wanted to build into my future. There were tears and growing pains. There were revelations and aha moments that I would swear were divinely placed along my path.
And, somewhere along the way, I came to realize that this is who I was always meant to be.
The real me had been there all along, but I was so out of touch with her that she was unrecognizable to me. I had to shed my skin before I could begin to honor my potential and follow my true path.
I decided to dive back into graduate school (again!) and refocused my education on Professional Coaching and Organizational Behavior, while pursuing a coaching credential from the International Coach Federation (ICF). Next, I left the corporate world and opened a private coaching and consulting practice where I could combine my credentials with my years of consulting experience to make a positive difference in organizational culture and support executive leaders who wanted to do the same. Then, I went on to earn both a Master's and PhD specializing in psychosocial development, and, in 2014, I was the recipient of the Provost Achievement Award in my doctoral cohort.
I hold memberships in the ICF, the ICF Washington State Charter Chapter, the American Psychological Association (APA) and the International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP). I am also greatly honored to have been a member of the very first cohort of The Daring Way--a training and certification program founded by Dr. Brené Brown.
Today, I am a researcher, published author, joy advocate, and unabashedly outspoken wellness advocate. My research is focused on topics of adult psychosocial development, and specifically, the pursuit and experience of meaningfulness in one's life and work.
My life is different now. I am living my dream.
I didn't get to this place overnight, but once I made the decision to take charge in my life and write my story the way I wanted to live it, everything changed. Today, it is one of the great joys of my life to partner with others and see them own their stories and create their futures--one daring, courageous step at a time.
A lot of people might have thought me crazy to leave the safety and security of my old life in search of something more. But I knew in my heart that "more" was out there, and I just had to go and find it.
Life presents us with two choices: remain the same, or strive for better. What will you choose to do with your one wild and precious life?
